September 27, 2012—The Pharmacy Services Support Center (PSSC) Web site[1] has been taken offline as a result of the closing out of the American Pharmacists Association’s (APhA) contract with the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).

APhA announced last week that HRSA awarded it a contract[2] to manage the successor to PSSC, which it has run since 2002.[ms-protect-content id=”2799″] The association said the new contract has a Monday, Oct. 1 effective date. APhA and HRSA are working on a work plan for future deliverables under the agreement.

HRSA has not yet issued a statement about the new contract.

A notice on the PSSC home page says that tomorrow, Sept. 28, is the final day of APhA’s contract to manage the center.

It directs those needing 340B technical assistance to contact Apexus/340B Prime Vendor Program at ApexusAnswers@340BPVP.com[3] or (888) 340-BPVP.

It also directs those seeking information about 340B to the OPA Web site[4] and healthcarecommunities.org[5].[/ms-protect-content]
